Website Traffic Like LA @ Rush Hour
Hey guys. I went to LA last year and the traffic was terrible! It took me two hours to go a distance that would have taken 20 mins if I was in any other city. It was sooooo frustrating. Honking horns and getting to know everything about the person in front of you because of all of the bumper stickers.
When you are driving on the street traffic is annoying. When it comes to your website, traffic means money. You want to have traffic coming to your website like LA at Rush Hour.
Here are the Five Major principles needed to get this type of traffic and SEO rankings:
1. Relevancy- The more specific and focused the content, the higher it will rank and the more people will find it. You want specific people to find your page that are searching for what you have. Find out what people are searching for and make them keywords. Then find out what people are asking when searching for those keywords and create that content.
2. Popularity- The goal is to have more Relevant links coming to your site than anyone else. These are called back links and Search engines love back links.
3. Be Original- Be yourself and unique. If you copy somebody else people will pick up on it and never come back. Just like you people are subscribed to multiple lists and visit a bunch of sites. They know who is copying from who, chances are they saw what you saw already!
4. Social Media-Future of Media. Facebook is now #2 most visited site and was #4 earlier this year. Information is shared through social media more than ever before.
5. Buzz- All inclusive 1 through 4. David Wood explains it in the form of an equation:
Buzz = Original Content + Relevant Content + Link Popularity + Social Media
